#61 - False Accusations / Nosey People

Hey Everyone,

Don't you hate it when your falsely accused for something you didn't do? And you have all the proof and you know that you didn't do it, but, your still accused for it?

Yes, that is what today's entry is going to be on....

I need to vent........... so get ready lol.

So my mother...... she automatically assumes that I have done something when I know damn well that I didn't do something and because of that it turns into a huge argument over something I didn't do. And while I am being put on trial and yelled at for something that I didn't do she brings up things that happened when I was a kid ( ill explain that later )

For instance..... Last night.........

I noticed the OVEN was turned up to 425 F and had last night dinner in the oven which was Pot Roast.

Just so happened I had to walk into the kitchen to get a drink and saw that the oven was on thought that I would tell mother that the oven was on 425 because I was in the kitchen looking for something and thought I would be nice and say something.

Well as soon as I bring it up its... WHY'D YOU DO IT?

I mean what the F? who said I did it. And when you try to prove that you wasn't

Now, I know that I had been in my room all afternoon while they were gone talking on IRC and IM and checking email and replying to email's. So I mean how does that put me at the scene of the crime and show that I did it?

So what I mean by brings up things from the past is, as a kid I had a fascination with button switches and lol as a ADD and ADHD kid you get fascinated with everything and anything really. So if I walked by something I had to turn it, flick it, push it, turn it.

Well whatever, that was like when I was 12... I am 24 years old now lol..... and I am not spastic like I was as a kid and don't have those wild impulses anymore to do shit like that.

So anyway's it turns into a disagreement of she's never wrong and I am always wrong and knows that I am lying when I know that I haven't done it. And ends up with each other pissed off at each other.

I don't see sometimes, how people can accuse others of doing something when they know that they wasn't there and know they saw the first person put the damn thing on 425 F. when like, the ACCUSER wasn't even at home when the ACCUSE'E WAS there and was alone at home and knows what he was doing?

So the moral to this story is:

It ended up me and her totally forgetting about it.... ( the whole argument )

Oh, and The Pot Roast turned out fine lol.

BUT WHATEVER......... I do kinda have another rant... But this is more of the reason for today's entry.

I have an aunt who... she doesn't live to far from me... About 3 miles outside of the town that we live in.

And Well, she's a know it all and thinks that she knows everything and is always right about everything, and if you disagree she gets pissy and try's to argue about it.

At this point in time I really cant stand her. And for this very reason:

So about 2 weeks ago...... While my father was in the hospital she calls the house, and of course I STUPIDLY answered the house phone, and the convo started out fine . But, then all of a sudden she starts telling me that I need to do this and this and this and this AND stepping up and doing things around the house. When first off I do alot of things around the house and you know I just said well, well, and she was like don't well me. so I said well again lol.

I mean first off who are YOU to call MY HOUSE ( parents ) and start rattling off for no apparent damn reason of what I need to do and not do around the house.

I mean seriously YOUR NOT MY MOTHER so don't call my house listing off a list of BS that I need to do . And should seriously mind your own business and keep your nose where it belongs.

She was like " I expect you to get out there and mow the yard" HELLO.... ( at that time ) it was 95 F outside and I am very asthmatic and I can hardly breathe when its that damn hot. ( I Have to wear a face mask because the grass screws up with my asthma ).

( NOW... let me state and mind you, that I have been busting my ass ( EVERYDAY ) around this house and doing things and trying to help my parents out so really this was the last damn thing I wanted was for someone in my family to call and rant and make a list of things for me )

I mean she try's to call people and boss them around and tell them what to do when it comes to things and Quite frankly I dont appreciate it. And I know that she's nosey ( this aunt )but I mean seriously keep your business where it belongs and not in mine.

SO everytime she pops in over here at the house every blue moon since that day I just don't say anything to her and I try to ignore her, due to the fact that I am still pissed off about her trying to call me and give me a DEMAND LIST of things I should be and shouldn't be doing.

SO your asking. ok so what's the point of this entry by now?

Well for :

1. I needed to vent and get something's off my mind

and 2. ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG... SERIOUSLY..... People made people rant sometimes..... !

#60 - FUNNY COMPLAINTS FROM SMART GUY

My daughter who was 13, she has a boyfriend at your Orlando Florida store. The boyfriend is your assistance manager who goes by the nickname "snake". Well I would say that the nickname definitely suits him after all he refuses to take responsibility for his actions.

While having a good time "snake" and my daughter had sex. This happened two years ago. Anyways "snake" got my daughter pregnant. Now I am a big promoter for underaged sex. I think that the fact my daughter has an older boyfriend is cool, and also I am glad she got pregnant. I want to teach her responsibility. The best way to show responsibility is to take care of a child.

While I am proud of my daughter for showing responsibility I am disappointed by "snake's actions. When he found out that my daughter was pregnant he ran away and hid. I have not seen him since. He had not even seen his new daughter whom we name Zen-Queeny. He does not even know if the child is a boy or girl.

Please help me search and seek out "snake" so that he can pay child support. Please provide me with his social security number. I am asking you for help because he was working when we told him the great news of my daughter being pregnant. He told me that he would be with me shortly because he had to help a customer. He was nervous at this time. He never came back. Later I found out he simply disappeared. No one has seen him ever since.

My daughter is 15 now and she and the baby are doing fine.

#59 - Funny, But Real, Complaint for Yahoo Mail!

Today while I was reading an article about the Sunnyvale company Yahoo, an interesting comment caught my intention because it criticizes the folks working for Yahoo Mail. SandraDallas, the author of the comment, sustains that Yahoo Mail Beta received "an incredible stupid" update because two of the buttons were inverted, the parent company placing the Delete button in the place of the Reply one.

"I found that the "delete" button is now where the "reply" button used to be! I use Yahoo Mail Beta, don't know if it has happened on the regular version. And the reply button is now located, you guessed it! right next to the delete button. How incredibly stupid to put those buttons right next to each other," the user said.

A long time ago, the Sunnyvale company debuted the beta version of the mail solution that was meant to represent a real POP3 interface for the web-based product. Recently, it started to introduce one of the major updates prepared for the mail solution, implementing Yahoo Messenger and unlimited storage size for all the users.

As you can see, some of the updates made for Yahoo Mail might disappoint the users; moreover, they can make users revolt against the parent company. Although I agree that it's not quite an intelligent move to place the delete button in the place of the reply one, the user must be very cautious when it comes to email messages. However, Yahoo managed to attract some angry users on its side, users that might decide to look for an alternative to the famous Yahoo mail service.

"In all my years of using software and the internet I have never been so disgusted. The day the ads showed up I called technical assitance and was the 72nd caller! And they claim they haven't had very many complaints!" the angry user concluded.

My complaint is about the recent tragedy that happened in my country, Philippines, due to a heavy typhoon named "Frank". Almost the whole Philippines was affected but the biggest issue is the Ship named Princess of the Stars that sank in the the coast of San Fernando, Romblon last June 21. Almost 800 are passengers and less than a hundred bodies are found. It's been days and still there is no news on the hundred more bodies that were missing. I hope the Government and the Suspicio Lines that owns this ship will make a quick move to find more bodies and bring the bodies to their respective families. Families are waiting, grieving to someone missing.

I received this in an email from a trusted source and I thought it important enough to post.

We actually received a call last week from the 809 area code. The woman said 'Hey, this is Karen. Sorry I missed you--get back to u s quickly. I Have something important to tell you.' Then she repeated a phone number beginning with 809 . 'We didn't respond'.

Then this week, we received the following e-mail:

Subject: DON'T EVER DIAL AREA CODE 809 , 284 AND 876

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION PROVIDED TO US BY AT&T. DON'T EVER DIAL AREA CODE 809

This one is being distributed all over the US . This is pretty scary, especially given the way they try to get you to call.
Be sure you read this and pass it on.
They get you to call by telling you that it is information about a family member who has been ill or to tell you someone has-been arrested, died, or to let you know you have won a wonderful prize, etc.

In each case, you are told to call the 809 number right away. Since there are so many new area codes these days, people unknowingly return these calls.

If you call from the US , you will apparently be charged $24.25 per-minute.

Or, you'll get a long recorded message. The point is, they will try to keep you on the phone as long as possible to increase the charges. Unfortunately, when you get your phone bill, you'll often be charged more than $24.00.

WHY IT WORKS:

The 809 area code is located in the British Virgin Islands (The Bahamas).

The charges afterwards can become a real nightmare. That's because you did actually make the call. If you complain, both your local phone company and your long distance carrier will not want to get involved and will most likely tell you that they are simply providing the billing for the foreign company. Okay, I have to wonder just how many people will fall for this one, spelling mistakes and all?

I did report this spam to Google/G-mail in the hopes that it will stop just one other person from being scammed, because as you know there is bound to be someone that is going to fall for this and freely hand out their info.

So the message reads ~

This thing happen after I moved in to my new house, I think I need more time to spend for my lovely new house. After I moved into my new house for a month, and I am still have no more time to stay at home and spend more time with my new house. What a world!!

Working hours is the most longest time that take me out from my house and I don’t even have chance to enjoy what I have bought to my new house. When I reach home, it’s already sleeping time.

Weekends were mess up with friend’s celebration event like birthday, weddings. And this weekend also the same as I need to attend my friend's house warming. Oh gosh!!! I need more time to stay at my house and I really truly need more time!!

Okay can someone please tell me at what point it became okay for stores to treat customers like crap, especially here in Canada? As of late I have found the level of customer service has bottomed out and the stores and store managers could care less.

I am looking for the newest item for the Wii called Wii Fit. So being the resourceful SoccerMom I am, I go on-line to see the who’s, what’s, where’s and how much’s it’s going to be. I notice that Future Shop and Best Buy are out of stock, so I head over to Toys-r-us.ca and they are showing “Stock in Store.” I’m now thinking ~ Wahoo!! I am going to be fit for the summer and I won’t have to see the inside of the Pink-eye gym.

But wait…
Before you think way-to-go SoccerMom, I of course had issues or I would be playing and not posting.

This morning I called the 1-800-Toys-r-us line to see if the stores did in-fact have the units and why I could not order it on-line. The lady assured me that it was in the store and that if I headed over that it would not be a problem. So I jump in the car and I am driving and thinking I am on my way to being a Hot SoccerMom and not because someone turned up the pre-mena-temp.

Once I get to the store I go to the Electronics department and I don’t see the units. So I track-down a nice yet young clerk and ask her "Where is my new fitness routine??" She says “I don’t know where they are, let me check and see if we have them in stock.” She checks and say "the computer says we have 18 let me call the manager and see where they are.” At that point I was getting all giddy and said "sure."

Oh now by this point you know this is not going to go well, don’t you??

So the Store Manager tells her to tell me that they don’t have them in stock and they are not getting them until later and so they won’t be available until tomorrow. Okay so I just drove from Stoney Creek with gas at $1.27 per litre to be told by this manager No-fit-for-you??!!

That my friend did not sit well with me, so I call the 1-800-Toy-r-us line again and I am telling the very nice lady my saga and she was very apologetic and sympathetic in not understanding why be-otch will not sell me a friggen fit. It wasn’t like I was asking for a discount, Wii just want to play. She was as helpful as she could be (by the way she was in the USA) and asked me if I minded calling the Head-Office location for assistance. It this point I am all about calling, so I do just that and the lady tells me that it would be best if I called the Canadian Corp Office that has a Customer Service support, again I am thinking what they heck it’s only one more call ~ And then I get Jo-Ann on the line.

My friends let me tell you Jo-Ann gave me that same Canadian customer service they think we Canadians will tolerate and think we deserve and have come to expect!

She lied to me and said just because the computer said the stock was there doesn’t mean it is/was actually there… wha-wha-what??
Okay I was born at night but it wasn’t last night, Jo-Ann! I work for a Manufacturer and I get how stock/stock levels etc… work. Duh…

Oh I’d love to stay and whine at you but I must go and skower the pages of Ebay.ca in the hopes of finding someone who is reasonable and will not rip me off.

#46 - Oh My Shoulder!

If there is one thing that bugs me most of the time, then that would be my left shoulder.

I've been having this aching left shoulder for the past few years. The intensity of pain varies, sometimes negligible but there are times I could really feel something poking the inner part of my shoulder. I've gone for medical check-up and the kind doctor suggested I should do further tests (but I haven't done so! ha! so terrible (or lazy!) of me, huh?). Hubby has also taken me to see the Chinese doctor and he tried to 'fix' the problem too, but short lived. The kind makcik has also massaged the shoulder a few times and I must say the pain is not that bad anymore, but still... It's still lurking there...

Too burdened, perhaps? *grin* Or too much blogging? LOL

Oh well.. I should be grateful I still have functioning shoulders! *grin* A shoulder to cry on, a shoulder for my kids to bermanja, and so on.. *smiles*

I'd just have to do more from now on lah - exercise my shoulders often and go for regular massages! *wink*

OMG! I think my head is seriously about to explode!!! I don't think I can take this kinda pressure anymore! With practically 3 more days left for finals, term papers to pass up tomorrow, and an SS opportunity to finish up in 12 hours, and not to mention other paid assignments from other 'bosses' I gotta get done soon, I seriously just feel like giving up and put on my dancing shoes and head over to Heritage Row!! Seriously!!

And if that didn't make things bad enough, what makes things even worse is that I can't log on to Facebook because of some sorta server problem! Urghh.. My fluff pet, Mumbo is the only thing that calms me down during these panic attacks! Oh! And worst of all... I'm out of coffeeee!!

Breathe Syura, breatheee.... *Heee Heee Hoooo... Heee Heee Hooo...* That's supposed to work on pregnant women but from these raging hormones I'm feeling right now, I suppose it would work... It MUST work!!

#42 - No Unpretty Cuts Please!

I need a haircut! Real badly! It's way overdue. My hair is weighing me down and I seriously am starting to look like this:

My problem is, I don't know where to cut my hair in KK. I haven't had much luck with any of the hairdressers here. They either make you look exactly the way you did when first came in (minus a couple of inches) or they make you look like a Japanese anime character. I am not fond of that. Thank you very much.

I want a serious makeover like the guys who were on Oprah's Great American Haircut, but how? Any good suggestions? Somebody? Anybody?

Please don't make me get out my TLC album and start cranking up Unpretty! We've had enough of that in high school, right Shem? Hahaha

#41 - A problem is only a problem and all problems have solutions

Like any other human being, I, too, can exhaust hours of my life with personal complaints. Life doesn't go my way ALL the time yet, I also know that the more I complain, the worse things become. Overall, the negative energy accrued from complaining ends up effecting my life in many aspects. I choose to not become the problem. Instead, I become a part of the solution to the problem instead of feeding the problem by adding to it.

What I have learned in my experience is that a problem is only a problem and that all problems have solutions. That is, if one is looking for a solution. Moreover, as an intelligent being, it is my job to work out the solution. I can do that. I have years of experience. The hardest part of any problem is realizing that there is a problem. Additionally, the solution is generally an easy task. On the other hand, there are those who seem to find comforting solace living in their problem(s). They don't need to, but that's their lesson. I've paid my dues as a complaining member and then some. Gratefully enough, I've learned to "just do it" then get over it. Patience and perseverance are keys used when working out solutions. Afterall, "Rome wasn't built in a day."

My complaint is against those who make complaining a career. They zap my energy whenever I allow them to do so. Identifying the problem is first rate. Moreover, in order to achieve and maintain happiness we need to actively do two things:

1.Complain then let it go. (Dump the baggage. It functions only as roadblocks to happiness.)

2. Express Gratitude (The open expression of gratitude promotes happiness.) After all, everyone has something to be grateful for and/or have something to complain about.

I have both Canada Savings Bonds and Ontario Savings Bonds for my kids and with the move you are required to let the company holding the Ontario Bonds know your new address as this is an outsourced company not tied to your info. As we have now been here long enough that our change of address has run out at the post office, I finally got around to calling them. I know, shame on me but in my defense I am not normally a procrastinator.

I call the 1-800 number to make sure they have my new info only to be told, “I can not help you, you have to submit your info in writing” ~ I now have that tilted head what look...

My question to you phone answer person who is sitting there being paid not to help is;
~ Why are you there?
~ Why do you put your phone number on your paperwork, if you have no intention of assist people?
~Why do you post your website on your info again if we can’t get help unless it is sent into your physical address?
What the heck…

If you are going to be there and not actually help then you need to have an automated attendant that just keeps you in phone-loop-hell.

Why pick-up the phone and frustrate people?
Oh wait I'm having a light-bulb moment... I get it now!!
This is a government agency and their job is to annoy and frustrate people not help.

I hate Malaysian roads. Yes I absolutely hate them. I hate that there are no proper road signs and even when there are, the route always take you through the longer way. I hate there are holes everywhere and I hate that there are so many detour, I always end up lost all the time.

Once I was picking up my friend at the airport and I missed the turn to go the highway. I thought taking the next exit was the safest best so I could turn back and make a turnaround. Due to no proper signage, suffice to say I was 4hours late picking my friend up.

Then there were times when we had to cancel going to a relative wedding which was held at their home coz we got lost along the way due to, again, lack of road signs.

Can you now see why I don't go anywhere without hubby in tow??

#37 - Desperate Blogging with Blog Traffic Sites

I've belonged to several Blog Traffic Sites designed to increase traffic to bloggers. However, I have never seen so much complaining about a site as I have hear on EntreCard, and I've only been on EntreCard for a couple weeks. First there was the complaining about the change in the point system, and then there was the complaining about the placing of the EntreCard widget on the blog, and then there was complaining that while EntreCard does increase traffic to a site, it really doesn't generate that many regular readers as Desperate Bloggers just "Drop 'N Go."

My response, everyone, is please, just give it a rest. Seriously.

These Blog Traffic sites are FREE. These Blog Traffic Sites generate traffic. They are also fun. In the two weeks I've been a member of EntreCard, my Alexa Rank has gone up from 16 million to 3 million. Not that I care, I'm not blogging to make money. But EntreCard works. But do I really expect that all members who find my site are going to become regular readers? Well no!

The truth of the matter is, I drop n run. But while the site is loading and while I'm searching for an EntreCard, I come across some blogs over and over again. In just the few seconds it takes for me to scroll, I can read a headline. I can look at a graphic. If something attracts my attention, I'll stop and read. If it doesn't or if the site is not updated often, I just drop my card and move on. I think most people pretty much do the same. This doesn't mean a blog traffic site doesn't work, it means your content isn't as appealing to the entire blogosphere as you thought it was. So don't blame the Blog Traffic sites bringing traffic to your site.

Personally, in two weeks, I've found about 20 blogs I read regularly now and I've made some new friends and a couple of really good friends. This stuff takes time. It takes work, and you have to comment and build relationships with other bloggers. No blog traffic site is a miracle cure. If you want traffic, you have to take time to interact with other bloggers and build a critical mass. If you're willing to do that, that all these Blog Traffic Sites are 100% successful as the TOOLS they are intended to be.

The Dress ~ Part 2

On April 18 the Manager from Bellissima in Square One sent a message to me to ask me to contact her. I received the message on the 19th and called her right away. She said she was very busy in her store and asked if I could call back I asked
her if Mon would be better and she said yes. As at this point I was please that she was making an effort. I called her Mon and she told me that she wanted to fix this could I come in I asked when she would be in and she said she worked 2 to 9. told her
I would be in Tues or Wed. She said she told me to bring in the dress but I did not hear that.

I went to the store Monday approx 3:35 or so and asked the clerk is Kavi was there. She was sitting on the floor assisting someone and I said who I was, she asked if I could wait a few minutes and I said of course finish helping that customer at this time I stepped back from the counter and away from any traffic in the store. She was then finished and come over to see me.

I opened the original receipt and put it on the counter and she asked me where the dress was. I told her I did not have it as it was at my seamstress being altered. She said oh I wanted the dress back and I was going to give you your money back. I again said well I am sorry it is being altered and that I was surprised that she was not going to refund my $100.00, she again
repeated if you give me back my dress I will give you a refund and we can be done with this. I once again explained that the dress was being altered. Again she said well you just bring it back and I will give you your money. Once again I said the dress is being altered besides my daughter loved the dress and all I wanted was my money back.

We then got into the price tag switching and at that time she said. Well we had gotten a lot of clothes in at that time and maybe the girls marked it wrong at 49.99 she had not had a chance to come over to the store and check everything that weekend, I told her about the various tags and at that time she said my girls said that did not happen and I have to believe my girls so immediately I said are you calling me a liar? She said oh no but my girls said that they did not touch the tags. I said do you think I would have gone to all this trouble if I was lieng. She again said I did not say that. Again I said yes you did , do you think I would have had spent this much time and energy and involved all these people and authorities and she said in a very snotty condescending tone yes I know you called the mall, and the police and the Toronto Star.

She then turned to her clerk working with her and said she claims that the dress is being altered and I said I don't claim it is.
She then said she had to call her Manager/Office and got a voice mail so she said it was going to be about 10 min
before someone got back to her. She put the phone down and then called another someone and spoke in her Indian language and said she in English is claiming that the dress is altered again I said it is and that is when I pulled out the claim tag from my seamstress and showed her and said not claims it is being altered.

She said well my girls said she left the store and went to Sear and saw a dress that you like better for $49.00 and that you wanted your money back. I said that is not right I left your store and went around the corner and when I realize what she had done I immediately returned to your store you can watch the mall video tapes. She did not respond to that. She said well my girl has worked her for over a year and I believe her. I again said are you calling me a liar, she did not respond again. She then said well I paid 89.00 for the dress so I can sell it to you for that I said look I though I was coming her to get my money back and you were going to do the right thing but all you are doing is upsetting me again and wasting my time I came here out of my way to which she responded well I am going out of my way.
I was totally taken back at this point and almost in tears from her abuse, but I did manage to hold it together.

I have to tell you I am very surprised that she is able to stay in business when treating customers in this manor. I am also surprised that this type if business is allowed to be in such an upscale mall.

She now has my original receipt and I will not be going back to her store ever again, I will not subject myself to her abuse or her staff's lies. I have now made three extra trips to the mall to deal with this and left the mall in tears twice.

#35 - Ladies Unite it's a Dress Fight…

I took The girl out to find a grade dress and this my friends is not an easy task. But we did manage to find “The Dress” it is a really cute cotton orange halter that is not too revealing and will be dressy enough and great for grad (pics to come). As we are checking out I am not paying attention to the cashier lady but rather The girl and I are talking about shoes and things that would look cute with the dress (like any mom and daughter would be), when the cashier puts the changes through, I sign the credit-card slip and out of the store we go.

A few seconds later I went to put something in my purse and opened the bill only to see that instead of $49.99 she changed me $149.99 so I immediately went back to the store and explained she had over charged me to which she replies “No I did not”, Hey lady “yes you did”. I showed The girl the price and commented how proud her dad would be at our fab find. She had taken the sale tag off the dress and discarded it. And while we were gone she did the same thing to the only other dress in the store that was the same as the one we just purchased.

She out-right refused to refund my money or help me in any way, so I told her I wanted to talk to the Manager so she called the Manager and spoke to her in some East/Asian Indian dialect that I do not understand then hands me the phone, at this point the Manager basically tells me "Pound-salt" I bought it, no refund. I am so upset that I go get Mall Security to see if they can Mediate this as there is nothing that this store will do. All they had to do was refund my credit card but she absolutely refused. She called her manager again and spoke some East/Asian Indian dialect then handed the phone to the Security Lady. At this point the security tells her the right thing to do it just refund my money, again she flat out refused.

I can not believe in this day and age that someone would try this. See what I think is these be-otches forgot about is some mom’s love to blog, yup especially this one and to tell their stories of wrong doing is one of their favorite things to do!! So that old tell one friend now becomes tell 100’s of friends in a snap.

So ladies please listen closely;
I need all those in the GTA and immediate surrounding area to tell everyone they know about my story ~ DO NOT whatever you do shop at Bellissima Boutique located at Square One in Mississauga. As this is where this happened to me. They also have a location in Pickering and at Cloverdale Mall. Also they operate at Cloverdale as second location under the name Fine Clothing Limited. And if that was not enough they also have a store in or near Sherway Gardens by the name of Josephine Shum in addition the other two that I just mentioned.

See I think that they forgot that at grad time a lot of other moms have a lot of influence on where “The Dress” is purchased and since I am in Stoney Creek where it more then matters what your daughter looks like that anywhere else in Ontario, she chose the wrong person to pick-on.

Oh yes, I did contract three major consumer assistance ombusmen who report for three major media outlets in Ontario along with the Mall Management who said they will do everything to make this right

#34 - Better Service Please!

GP wants me to vent out my grievance- my complain on anything which bothers me. Actually, I've written one when I started blogging, so, let me put that up again here.

There are a lot of things here which I am not satisfied about. I don't think I have to time to list down everything, so, I'll just highlight a few. First, about 'goods sold are not returnable or refundable'!
Well, if we are talking about 'goods' such as food or drinks then fine- totally and definitely acceptable, but I am referring to material goods. Why is it in Malaysia, the policy is as such? Recently, I entered a PC store to get a laptop sleeve, I took one out and I wasn't quite sure if it would fit my laptop, so, I checked with the salesman. He told me that, it might fit (after telling him what my laptop make and model is), so, fine, I bought it. While at the cashier, I was still unsure about the size, so, I told him that if it doesn't fit, I would come and get a change (a different size). Straight away, he stopped and told me, "NO".
I was stunned and asked why not? He told me that once bought, I can't change or get a refund. I was pissed at the statement and told him that I am not asking for a cash refund, I might just have to change the size of the laptop sleeve. He told me that, it is not possible because he would have to do a lot of 'work on the cash register'. I said- so what, just do it, I can wait if I have to! At that instant, my blood had really rose up to my head! I said, fine, I don't want this bag now and he asked me why? He told me that I can't return it since he has punched it in the cash register, until and unless it's faulty or damaged! So, I asked him, if it was really damaged and I need to get my money back, what would he have to do? He said, he would have to go thru a lot of of 'processes' again before giving my money back. Angrily, I grabbed the laptop sleeve, and within 30 seconds, I spotted a 'damaged corner' at the item and DEMANDED my money back. To my surprise, he gave my money back in less than a minute- so, what was all the 'fuss about processes' about?? Just lazy? or just lying? or maybe just stupid?
I think the retail system and policy we have in Malaysia is just so pathetic and obtuse! It is not giving any rights to consumers. Stores might be selling broken goods, and you don't realise it. You might be buying it and bringing it back home only to realise that it is broken! After that, if you go back to the store to complain, it will be your fault for not checking it first before purchasing- they don't give you any returns or refunds even when it's not your fault at all!
Similarly, recently, I was shopping in Body Shop, Penang, Malaysia. I bought myself the Vitamin E moisture cream and paid for it. Then, as I was walking out of the store, on a different shelf, I saw the Vitamin E moisturiser with SPF 15- which I thought would be better than the one I had just paid for. (Bear in mind that I have not left the store yet). I took the other moisturiser and told the cashier I want to change the earlier one to this later one (the one I took later was more expensive, so, I thought I would just pay the difference). Believe it or not- they refused! Once sold, it can't be changed! HOW BIZARRE???? Just plain idiots! I have not even stepped out of the store yet! They said it's the store's policy- that's what they've been instructed to do.

There are more of similar incidents, but I don't think I want to scribble them all down now. The fact is that, why can't consumers in Malaysia have more rights? Customers must be 100% satisfied with the items they bought. Just by making this 'goods sold are not returnable/ refundable/exchangeable' stupid policy, it makes the sellers gain more by selling faulty goods (believe me, they do!). They take advantage from the unreasonable policy!
Why can't we be like countries such as UK or US. Almost all items (of course not the undies and other tangible items) sold are returnable/ refundable/ exchangeable within a certain period of time with the original receipts. Below is an excerpt of the return policy in almost every stores in UK:

"Our refund policy, which is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights states "If you are unhappy with anything that has been purchased from ****, the goods can be returned to the store for a full refund or exchange to the same value, provided the goods are returned within ** days of purchase with a valid receipt and are in the condition in which they were purchased."

It gives satisfaction to the customer as well as it controls the quality of items sold. QoS (Quality of service) is an aspect which is taken for granted in our country. Maybe as consumers, we are still not aware of our rights. Isn't it time that we should rise and voice up? Or, are we happy with...

"Goods sold are not returnable/ exchangeable/ refundable"

There are a lot more of unsatisfactory things happening right in front of my eyes....don't get me started with the public transportation in Malaysia (among them)!

#32 - Hard Shell Plastic Packaging

Why? Why oh why do they use that awful hard-shell plastic packaging for so many products today?

I bought a flash drive a few weeks ago and for the life of me, I couldn't get the darn thing out of the package with my bare hands. So, I resorted to the teeth.

Nope...no good. Then I had to break out a box-cutter razor. So I sliced a hole in the package and then reached in with my fingers to pull the plastic pieces apart. Guess what? I cut my fingers on the plastic that I had just cut!

Ugh! I've heard the phrase, "wrap rage" to define how frustrating it is to try to open these things. I think that sounds about right! The Consumer Product Safety Commission says thousands of people are injured every year by trying to open these sealed plastic packages!

It's gotten so bad, some companies are selling products like the "Open X" just to help you open the other products you bought! (Oh...and in case you were wondering...the Open X comes in a cardboard package!)

Let's be honest: I know that retailers are demanding packaging that deters theft. But there has to be a better way, doesn't there? I mean, it's 2008 for crying out loud. Maybe we aren't to the point where we are driving flying cars or colonizing Mars, but you can't tell me that we can't come up with a better solution to plastic packaging!

Or maybe we can at least come up with a better use for it. What if clamshell plastic packaging was how we wrapped all nuclear weapons? Then we'd never have to worry about a nuclear war! Who's gonna take the time? Or think about how much weight we'd all lose if candy bars came wrapped in this stuff. But oh no! They want THAT to be easily accessible!

Selangor is rich with abundance sources, resources, and opportunities.

As a Consultant, I place my expertise with two Consultancy Training Companies at Shah Alam.

We prepared our proposals, and began marketing.

Soon enough, we see that what is a tiny light of a chance became darkness of nothing, when opportunities are no longer there for us to enjoy this huge economic cake. Yes, in Selangor.

My complaint is: Units, Departments, Agencies, and the Public Sector in Selangor already have their own consultancy and training companies engaged for the next number of years. To us, the number can be a hundred. So, these two companies in Shah Alam, Selangor, shall be given nothing.

We have also met at least two Yang Berhormat s, who refused to benefit from our consultancy and training expertise, to develop their kawasan (areas).

Perhaps, the message is clear, you must be UMNO, Barisan Nasional, one who says what I prefer to say.

My friend told me, yesterday Abdul Khalid Ibrahim who now sit on the Menteri Besar Chair of Selangor, said, “We are not like Barisan Nasional people. We prefer to share the cake with all concerned. So, please set up a Consortium of Consultants and Trainers, so that the Selangor Government can past this opportunity to the Consortium, and the Consortium will share amongst its members.”

#30 - Complain, complain

Complaint 1: The sign shows it opens at 11.00am; as my watch showed 11.01am, I walked in and sit. I sat down for 5 minutes or so until one of the waitress finally looked at me and asked,"Having here?" in a rushing manner, without even caring to say good morning and address me well. She didn’t approach my table, instead asking from where she was at, about 5 metres away.

"Having here" I said, a bit annoyed.

"But the kitchen is not open yet," she replied, half screaming.

I got angry instantly, enough not to say anything. I got up from the seat, looked at her with the you-suck look and just walked out. Another waitress who was just finished cleaning up the corridor went in and asked me, " Do you want anything?" Her mop was so close to my face. I simply said, "you girls are ridiculous!" and walked away.

No I don’t want anything, I went in because I want to lurk you girls and watch you work. Eeee!!! Of course I want something, I wouldn’t have been there the first place.

Complaint 2: Again, I was disappointed with a bad service at a local restaurant. When a nasi lemak that my husband and I ordered failed to reach our table, my husband decided to cancel the order. We’ve been waiting like 40 minutes and even finished our coffee. I asked my husband to wait and went to find somebody to talk too. I found one at the cashier counter and gave her a long ‘pep talk’! After the final question, "how long does it take to prepare one, actually?", I got the nasi lemak within a blink of an eye! Yassin was so hungry that I pitied him for the long wait.

Complaint 3: I went to one of those franchise well known cafe/bistro and ordered a grilled chicken. After awhile, I ordered another one (takeaway) for my mom. I called the waitress and placed my order but I was quite surprised when she told me ‘there’s no more stock, the new stock will arrived shortly ‘. It was only 12.00 noon, and they just opened at 11.30am. "So how short is ’shortly’?" I asked. She went to the counter and asked her supervisor. She came back and said, "6.00pm". Of course I was mad like crazy! I don’t really know how the franchise system works but they should’ve make sure that there were enough stocks in store for customers who have 10 kids who will probably order 10 same exact meals!

If only they were in Facebook, I would super poke them!

#29 - Boo to Bad Service!

Boy, do I have something to complain about today! If you know me well enough, you'd know that I am a stickler for excellent customer service. I can't stand inefficiency or being put on a wild goose chase when the person in charge obviously doesn't know his job enough to give me an acceptable answer. Last week, we decided to stay in and order Mc Donald's for dinner, since we were lazy to go out. Besides, it was Idol night, which means we'd be glued in front of the TV, so a home delivery was a perfect solution - or so we thought!

We were in the mood for some fried chicken, so I asked for 2 Fried Chicken value meals. I specifically requested for NO WINGS, since that is the one part of chicken that I do not eat and neither does B. I asked for BREAST and THIGH instead. The lady, who took my order, spoke to me in English, but I still repeated my order in Malay, since I wanted to ensure she understood my request for NO WINGS. I told her "Kepak tak nak, tolong ganti dengan dada dan paha ye" or "No wings, please replace with BREAST and THIGH". I think I was pretty clear with my order and she too, confidently responded with a somewhat irritated and firm "Yes, Breast and Thigh". Perhaps she didn't like that I repeated my order twice, and in 2 different languages too. I couldn't help myself however, since I've been disappointed by Mc D's delivery on several prior occasions, so one can never be too sure.

Anyway, our order arrived 45 minutes later and I quickly opened my box of fried chicken, expecting to see my requested chicken parts. To my surprise, there was a piece of WING and a drumstick, despite my MANY requests not to include any chicken wings! Trying to calm myself down, I checked the receipt to see that my order was keyed in correctly and was HORRIFIED to see BREAST spelled as BRETTS and THIGH as TIGHTTS! No wonder I didn't get what I requested for; the mistake came from the order taker herself! I was fuming by then and my whole dinner was ruined by Mc D's inefficiency to deliver what I, the customer asked for. We were too tired by then to start a ruckus with Mc D's, so I suffered in silence and ended up throwing away the chicken wing! Mariuca was one dissatisfied customer that night! :(

A few days later, we decided to go Italian and order a pizza. It was either Pizza Hut or Domino's and we decided on the former, since our last order was from Domino's. We ordered 2 regular pizzas, simply because we both wanted different flavours and I was already sick of having B's favourite Hawaiian Chicken. I ordered a Pepperoni pizza and added 2 extra toppings - mushroom and green pepper. Then, I happily waited for the delivery guy to arrive since I was ravenous from not eating a proper meal the whole day.

The pizza arrived soon enough and once again, I had the shock of my life when I opened the box and all I could see was a Pepperoni pizza MINUS the mushrooms and green peppers! I was so angry by then because the additional toppings cost an extra RM5. I quickly checked the receipt to see if they charged me for the extra toppings and true enough, I was charged an extra RM5 and yet, there were no toppings on my Pepperoni Delight. What's up with that?! I was all set to pick up the phone and throw one of my famous tantrums, but B pacified me seeing that it was almost 11pm and the call centre would have been closed by then.

That was really the last straw for me and right now, I'm going on strike against their home delivery! What's the point in ordering something when what you get is not what you ordered? What ticks me off the most is that this wasn't the first time my orders arrived incomplete or wrong. Furthermore, I've been a loyal customer despite their many shortcomings and is this how they show appreciation for good customers like me? I think not!

Phew! What a relief to get that out of my system, thanks for listening to my complaints peeps.

I don't normally complain. I accept things to be as they are. Today I feel that I can not do that. It is Easter Sunday. I was expecting to have a glorious day because I got my son and Husband a great gift. There was talk around town for the past 2 weeks about Big foot the monster truck coming to our town. My hubby and son wanted to go but because we live from payday to payday it makes it hard to afford the little extras. They wanted to go so bad and I hated seeing that they couldn't go. I hide money here and cut corners there but I got them V.I.P. tickets. I was expecting them to come home def Saturday night because they were only twelve rows away. I got no thank you, I got no Happy Easter Honey or Happy Easter Mom. All I heard were complaints about how it was not what they expected and they wished it would have lasted longer.

I made Chicken-n-noodles and mashed potatoes for dinner tonight, one of their favorites, I thought it would make a good Easter Dinner. I got no, dinner was good or thanks for cooking. All I wanted was just 1 single carnation. I had left hint all week that I wanted one. I didn't even get that. Maybe I am just complaining because my feelings were hurt and I am starting to feel taken for granted. Then I think maybe I should get mad and stick my foot in their hind quarters. Anyone one who knows me, knows I will not do that, so I will sit here and cry and feel unwanted. I will be Happy again tomorrow because that is just how I am.

I don't know if that is a legitimate complaint but that is all I have for now.

Complaint: This has become one of my "growing in irritation" pet peeves. Does anyone else get frustrated with having to type "Word Verifications" before leaving a comment on a post? Some of the letter combinations that are being asked are ridiculous and some are impossible to even make out. I inevitably blow it the first time then have type a new set of ridiculous letters just to leave a comment.

Possible Solution: I disabled my “word verification” about 4 months ago and have yet to be spammed. I know that my readers have been leaving more comments because of the ease of leaving them. If you must have a spam filter, then create a number addition or some other easy type of spam filter. I hope Blogger sees this because Blogger only has these ridiculous “word verifications.”

This was brought to my attention and it is, as the title says, an outrage. Read it for yourself, research it and if you think it deserves some attention, that is your call.

Claudia "Cris" Cristina Hoerig shot and killed her husband in March 2007 then fled to Brazil before her husband's body could be discovered. Brazil is not cooperating with the U.S. in extraditing the fugitive.

Major Karl Hoerig's memory lives on at Youngstown, Ohio Air Force Reserve Base as a friend and a fellow airman who served his country. He was a pilot both in the military and on civilian side and flew over 200 combat missions in Afghanistan and Iraq with the 910th Airlift Wing's Hercules C-130's. He served for 25 years in the military.

Karl met his wife, Chris, online and they were married in Las Vegas in 2005. It is reported that their marriage was rocky. Karl had even confided in colleagues at Southwest Airlines that he was unhappy in his marriage and afraid his wife may try something. He was planning on moving out on March 12, 2007. On that fateful day he was shot 3 times ,twice in the back and one point blank in the back of his head, and left for dead by the suspect, Claudia Christina Hoerig.

According to the Trumbull County Sheriff Christina purchased a .357 Smith and Wesson revolver with a laser tracking device at a shop in Braceville, OH two days before the murder. She then practiced at a shooting range in Warren, OH and had the handle of the gun fitted for her small hand. After committing the unthinkable she then used her privilege as a pilot's wife and procured a free flight to Sao Paulo, Brazil the same day. The America's Most Wanted website calls the murder of Karl Hoerig premeditated and cruel.

According to militarycorruption.com Chris dumped Karl's body in the basement, emptied his bank accounts which amounted to around $10,000 and wired $9,000 more to family in Brazil. Her vicious ways were not limited to Karl, it has been revealed that she ran up thousands of dollars in credit card debt with a previous husband.

Dr. Thomas J. Bote said he was married to "the hellion" from . He told cops that she was both mentally and physically abusive to him. Her dishonesty about finances caused many a fight. At one point, the doctor said, his former wife had 20 credit cards going and was bleeding him dry. When the credit card debts piled up to the max, he couldn't stand it any more, and they had a big battle. The mild-mannered doc lost. He told investigators when he confronted her about the wild spending she laughed and presented him with divorce papers. Claudia Christina Hoerig Six months have passed and Brazil still has not cooperated with extraditing Christina who has a warrant out for her arrest. Karl's family was reluctant to speak with the media and wanted to give law enforcers and investigators time to work on the case. The pain they have felt finally led to plea to the public to write to their congressmen and senators and exert pressure on Brazil to return the fugitive who is living freely and has not been arrested by Brazilian authorities. The plea has been herd by Congressman Tim Ryan, representative of the 17th district of which Newton Falls, Karl Hoerig's residence, falls under.

Possible Solution: Tim Ryan is ready to introduce legislation which will put pressure on the Brazilian government. He says two pieces have been drafted that would call for re-negotiating the US/Brazil Treaty, and limit foreign aid to that country.Last year the United States gave 14 million dollars to Brazil. Congressman Ryan is prepared to introduce the legislation if Brazil refuses to extradite Hoerig, and will also be working on legislation to put restrictions on people traveling from Brazil to the United States as well as tariffs on Brazilian products. "If they say she is not coming back, we drop the legislation immediately, " Ryan told reporters. "They need to know we are fed up." Claudia Christina Hoerig has dual citizenship in the United States and Brazil and is hiding behind Brazilian policy that allows the country to refuse extradition of its citizens.

Now I am no Michael Moore fan, but I saw “Sicko” last night and it truly sickened me. Our Health Care system is broken and there is no denying it.

We are constantly hearing from the conservative side of Congress that the “private sector can do it better.” Well, wasn’t it the private sector that came with these wonderful concepts like HMOs that drop people who can’t pay their hospital bills off at Skid Row? Isn’t it the Private Insurance companies that pay their medical directors bonuses to deny claims?

I don’t know how many times my wife and I say that we will have to work until we die so that we can maintain health insurance. My wife is a teacher at a middle school and she knew two teachers that had cancer. In fact, one of them had a doctor for a husband. In both cases they had to continue working in order to keep their health insurance. They both worked until they died

On the other hand, do we want “Socialized Medicine?” Do we want medical care being controlled by our government? I think not. There really needs to be something in between.

We could go into nauseating details as to the plans being offered up by our politicians, but let’s face it, they are being offered up by POLITICIANS. Politicians have only one goal and that is to be elected; they lie for a living.

Possible Solution:

The only viable solution that I see is a hybrid, and yes it may increase our taxes. Let the private sector control the basic health insurance and the medical care industry. Let the government step in with a catastrophic plan that would cover everyone, regardless of pre-existing conditions. The Government could have a plan that would cover those of us that are being denied by private insurance, possibly at a slightly higher cost. This could generate some competition for the Private Insurance Companies who are posting outrageous profits at the expense of individual health care.

I can’t come up with the details, but a hybrid seems to me like the best solution. In the meantime people are dying unnecessarily, forced to go BK, forced in destitution, with their “golden Years” turning BLACK! Is this the best that America can do?

Complaint Details: This will be short. It really bothers me when people say they will do something and then don't. I will not name names, because I think we are all guilty of this. I hate being strung along and what's worse; I hate being lied to.

Possible Solution: Do not commit to something if you have no intentions of doing it. If something comes up and you have to delay, let the person you made the commitment to know. Simple communication and have your word mean something.

Just think how nice this world would be if we just stood behind our word.

My complaint is people driving and being on the there cell phone. I feel that a car is a weapon so you should handle it with care. Talking on a phone takes your attention away from the road.

Possible Solution:
1.If you have to use your phone pull over and use it.

2.I also feel that maybe we should fine cell phone users if they get caught driving and talking on the phone

3.They could even use handless phones so at least both hands are on the wheel.

Complaint Details: Church sucks.

If you've read my rant about "The God Guy," you'll know how I feel about religion. It's okay...you can pop on over to it...I'll wait...

I'm good like that.

A few weeks ago, it was my week to take my daughter to church, but I somehow managed to egg out of it.

Mind you, unless you're dead or getting married, you won't see me in a church.

So, I guess this limits it to "getting married" - since you're not seeing too much if you're dead.

I should probably think more before I right sh*t down.

Anyway, the fact that I missed it turned out to be a good thing (duh), because my wife came home with her Church-report…and it got me kind of mad.

Apparently, our church was hosting another priest from Honduras.

This priest, apparently, stood up to address the crowd - which I found amazing, as I thought everyone from third world countries spoke in clicks and beeps...like dolphins...or "Starvin Marvin" from South Park.

and made something similar to the following remarks:

He was appalled by the way that people were spending hundreds or thousands of dollars of their money on – God forbid – THEMSELVES…instead of sending money to feed the poor and desolate in his country.

Specifically, he was LITERALLY telling people who shelled out hundreds of dollars to go to the Red Sox playoff games that they were going to Hell because they weren’t sending their money his way.

I’m thinking that I wouldn’t have been able to control myself at that point.

It would have taken all of my effort to not stand up and ask:

"WHO has tickets to the playoffs?! Do they have any extra?!”

And…let’s be honest here…watching Jonathan Papelbon close out a game for the Sox is as close to any modern-day religious experience that you’ll find.

But…really?

I’m going to Hell because the money that I EARNED didn’t go to the people in your country who aren’t smart enough to MOVE out of the f*cking desert?!?

I understand that we’re supposed to help those who need help. I get it.

When I have something that’s in really sh*tty shape, or is broken, I always find a way to give it to a charity.

Let me tell you something – I just dropped 5 bucks into this friggin’ basket to fund your TRIP here.

Did you walk here or fly?

I’m guessing you flew..in a plane..that cost money.

Did you get a rental car, or did one of the priests pick you up in the Escalade?

Let me guess – you ate WHERE last night?

Did you go out for seafood? Steak? What?

Why don’t you have a nice bowl of tapioca and then pocket the change you would have spent going to Legal Seafoods and give it to the family of 12 you have back in Honduras so they can enjoy some cornmeal.

You know what? Instead of food, let’s buy them condoms so they can:

a) STOP making more kids...
b) that need more food...
c) that your country doesn’t have...
d) so you can STOP ASKING ME FOR MONEY.

Christ...even I can get behind THAT plan.

Oh…I forgot...the Catholic church doesn’t believe in condoms.

Well, then this is YOUR fault, isn’t it?

I looked at my wife and said, “You didn’t raise your hand? You didn’t say anything?”

It aggravates the sh*t out of me for thinking she had to sit there and take that crap.

I know there are people in that crowd that now feel guilty for actually buying their kids Sketchers instead of flip-flops.

They shouldn’t, but this guy is making them feel like they should.

So next week, when I go, I’m hoping that they have another guest speaker.

Just in case, I’m wearing as much bling-bling as I can.
